ReUse
ReUse (Re Use/cycle/purpose/renew/create) is a first year 3D Foundations project where students were asked to take apart a discarded piece of wooden furniture or an amalgamation of found objects/materials and rebuild them into something new. They were free to choose between sculptural or functional reconfigurations. In addition to teaching first year students basic wood shop skills and safety, this project taught students about designing, planning and executing their designs. As well, they were asked to consider the associations that materials carry with them.
