Archived here are two different versions of Things on Your Feet, a project that focuses on design process over the outcome. Beginning students in either 3D Foundations or Intro to Ceramics are tasked with creating a "shoe" that helps them accomplish a specific task while thinking about the cultural relevance of footwear and how it communicates something about the wearer. In addition to the main material, ceramic or wood, the students are randomly assigned a second "attaching material" they they must innovate with in order to help make a functional "shoe." Critique day includes a "runway" through campus.
